At Glider Palace, sugar gliders aren't just pets — they're family. We're a small, passionate operation based in Morrow, Ohio, and everything we make is built with one goal in mind: giving your glider the very best life possible with safety as a priority.
Glider Palace began its journey in 2007 with the purchase of our first pair of gliders. By 2008 we became a vendor for food and sewn items. Also in 2008, we bought our first pair of breeding gliders. I have been a retailer for the Raptor Wheel for years and now proud to have been chosen to continue the Custom Choice Cruiser.
Why We Built the Custom Choice Cruiser
If you've ever watched a sugar glider run on a standard wheel, you know something feels off. The "running wheels" spin flat, they spin fast, and they don't match the natural movement patterns of a sugar glider at all.
We knew there had to be a better way.
After countless hours of observation, testing, and tinkering, Bourbon Hackworth developed the Custom Choice Cruiser — the only true exercise wheel built specifically for sugar gliders. The secret is in the design: by offsetting the wheel on 2 bearings, she created a unique dance action that mimics the natural gliding and bounding motion your glider uses in the wild. It's not just exercise — it's enrichment.
Glider Palace purchased the Custom Choice Cruiser business from Bourbon in August 2025. After spending months with her via video calls and in person learning how to build the Cruiser, we are confident that we are taking the same pride, craftsmanship and care that has always been put into the making of each and every wheel.
